Client: Cafe Antipasti

Client Brief & Solution:

Lawrence Mcmanus commissioned Paul to design and create an interior “ like no other” for him, he had seen Paul’s work at the Bouzy Rouge but wanted his own unique interior.

Paul used oak, metal, rubbed plaster effect on the walls. Bespoke lighting was designed and made to compliment wood and glass used to form the now iconic Cafe Antipasti sign. Paul combined the flowing shapes of his metal work designs with the flow of the natural timber, allowing the beauty of the existing stone walls to play its part.

Cafe Antipasti opened on Sauchihall street and then Edinburgh was to follow, both with the same signature design.
