Client Brief & Solution
During a phone call to see if we were interested in the reclamation of their old, pitch pine pews, it turned to us to design and manufacture replacement furniture, then a full interior design and refurbishment.
The original stone was revealed, re-pointed and cleaned, a new cross was manufactured with the wood from their old pews and hung, slightly extended in front of the stone. The client was delighted that everyone had an affinity to the completely new interior.
Working with churches, I find very exciting as your client is a huge group of people, all with different tastes. It is incredibly fulfilling as my material is god’s own nature.
