Client: Isle of Arran

Client Brief

Design and fit out the interior of their visitors centre providing a bar for the end of tour tasting, a restaurant bar and serving areas. To reflect the brand and identity for this new distillery and its malts.

Our Solution

To incorporate the barley in the oak panels, create interesting and functional gantry. Use solid oak.

Paul fashioned the barley from copper, weaving it in and out of the barley shapes cut in the oak. He used the sculptural form of the wood, enhancing these shapes with mirror and shaped glass. The bar was designed to be a long curved piece so that the steady flow of visitors would comfortably enjoy their dram at a tactile and quality environment.
