Client: Bar Bola, Glasgow

Client Brief & Solution:

Set in the university side of town, the client wanted to strike a cord with the students. Paul was commissioned to come up with a design that was of a South American theme.

The skyline of many South American villages intrigued Paul where the firewood was stacked in a tepee style. This was to be the inspiration behind the bench seats, elements of the dry and dusty village buildings were to feature in the style of wood finish used for the bar.

Rubbed plaster, bright but natural colours and a unique design of planked tables with metal legs completed the south American theme. The restoration of the existing stone and some mosaic works ensured the bar had its own atmosphere that enjoyed great success.
