Client Brief & Solution:
A 20 year established Italian restaurant, wanted to treat their loyal customers but also change their interior to encourage the new adventurous diners and bar goers in Finniestoun, an area that from 2010 has developed from a forgotten quarter of Glasgow’s West end.
Paul kept the traditional Italian village feel and atmosphere blending it with a recognition of the Glasgow Victorian industrial architecture. Paul used solid Teak and Oak floor cobbles that were recycled from an ammunitions building, antique Yellow Pine, old Teak school science benches and Scottish Ash. The two styles blended effortlessly and created a timeless and atmospheric interior.
