Description

Paul took inspiration from Loch Etive, on the west cost of Scotland near Oban. The engravings on the Kilt Pin, Sgian Dubh and Quaich perfectly match the Ordnance Survey map contour lines that shape beauty of Glen Etive.

The Sgian Dubh is made from a Damascus steel blade set into a Scottish Elm handle and held with a solid silver pommel.

I chose the Damascus steel because it has its layers of steel traditionally hand ground back showing the most fascinating pattern, I found it so comfortable and resonating with the grain of the Elm.
